As a developer, there’s something unique about the rhythm of our work. It’s a balance between creation and problem-solving, joy and frustration—almost like a modern-day yin and yang. I wanted to share my thoughts on what it feels like to build something from scratch, to dive into lines of code, to hit walls, and finally break through them. Because it’s more than a job. It’s an experience.

The Thrill of Starting From Zero

There’s a distinct thrill that comes when you start a new project. The canvas is blank, and the possibilities are wide open. You sketch out ideas, imagine features, and feel that excitement of giving life to something that’s never existed before. It’s like assembling pieces of a puzzle where you decide the rules. This first stage is filled with dreams of what this project could become.

But then, reality kicks in. Building is tough. From the initial excitement comes a slow grind. Setting up environments, choosing frameworks, and writing that first line of code—these are the building blocks, and they’re rarely glamorous. Yet, each of these small steps starts forming the foundation of something bigger.
